Meet the Unity Peace Prayer Board and Founders

Dr. Alda Sainfort, MD, OMD, PGDA, MDiv, LMT

Co-Founder

Dr. Sainfort is a Board Certified Alternative Care specialist and the founder of Advanced Healing Wellness Center, a complementary and alternative care center, providing holistic services. Her expertise encompasses Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, Ayuvedic Medicine, and Spiritual Healing & Counseling.  She received her Biomedicine Doctorate Degree in General medicine from Spartan Health Sciences School of Medicine. She holds masters degrees in Oriental Medicine and Divinity. Dr. Sainfort founded Youth Operation Support Inc in 2004 to advocate for peace amongst teenagers and disadvantaged youth at risk to drop out of high school. She conducted several investigative studies in partnership with the University of Miami School of Medicine, implementing and evaluating health programs such as HIV/ STD, teen pregnancy, violence and crime prevention. She has helped transform the health and the lives of many: individuals, couples and families with personal or health issues and those longing to connect with the Light of The One.

Sara Madonna

Founder and Chair

Sue Sara Madonna is a mother of three with an eclectic background as an event coordinator, small business owner, and office manager. She is passionate about working towards peace and unity. She is a skilled teacher and team builder with deep compassion. She has organized events and workshops in California, Florida, and Washington DC. She currently facilitates several teleclasses on Sufi spirituality.  Sue Sara is sincerely devoted to her teaching and loves to bring spirituality and peacemaking together to uplift the lives of others and create a supportive loving container for all those who seek an experience of deeper peace. She is passionate about her work and ongoing study and humbled by the way that she’s witnessed the divine touching people’s lives. She is deeply grateful for the chance to be part of “Day of Unity Peace and Prayer.”​

Leah Rifqa Savage, MAc, MDiv, AOBTA

Co-founder and Vice Chair

​​Leah Rifqa Savage is passionate about bringing peace and healing to the world. Leah is the founder of Complementary Healing for Everyone.  As an Oriental Medicine Practitioner, Leah combines mind, body, spirit medicine together to create deep and lasting health and wellness. Through her work as a Minister and Pastoral Counselor, Leah facilitates a deeper knowing of ourselves, our relationship to Divinity, creating lasting transformation and peace within. Leading workshops and retreats for her patients, she provides a rich environment for like minded individuals who aspire to grow and learn together. Leah has spent many years in event planning and coordinating, across the country, as well as hosting several teachers and events locally. As a former journalist, Leah experienced how to create bridges and build communites among people of all faiths and nationalities. She has written about peace and peace making, as well as lead a weekly teleclass entitled “Becoming Peace.” 

Rachida Rabiah Faid, PhD

 
Co-Founder

Dr. Faid-Douglas is an interfaith public speaker and mother of four, with a background in education and advocacy. She passionately advocates about the need for peace and unity. She has a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction and Administration, PhD in Linguistics, ABD, Master’s in English Language and Linguistics and Bachelor’s in English Literature and Language. She is co-director of the Peace, Love and Hope Foundation and is active with  interfaith groups in Florida and New York. She has taught TESOL and linguistics at Florida Atlantic University, the University of Nebraska, the University of Phoenix Online, Lincoln public schools and Bahrain University. She develops and evaluates new programs and curriculum at the university level. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian and Arabic languages. She has spoken to community groups in South Florida, New York City, Nebraska  and Colorado. She advocates for K-12 immigrant children and abused women. She is honored to bring the message of peace and unity to our nation’s capital.
